Last post of T.Y

Well this is my last week in T.Y. and to say that I won't miss the lack of homework we got is a lie.

At the same time, it doesn't feel like the end of the year but it is, we just practiced our song for T.Y night and we sound good. It's weird seeing how well we all came together and how we all sound good.

It's going to be sad leaving Class Belle, and it'll be weird saying good bye 

This week we went to Xtreme! 

Now that is amazing! 

We ended up bonding a lot more and helping each other around the courses and it was so fun!

The obstacle course were amazing! But my hands killed afterwards.

It was amazing to grow a little closer to everyone before we left, and how we all ended up talking about anything and everything!

11th of May to 15th

Well this week was interesting!

Monday we had sports day! It did rain a little but it's fine, I had a good day!

I played soccer against the teachers which was fun!

On Wednesday we went on our retreat, which was great!

It was a lot different to what I was expecting but I enjoyed it, none the less.

We went to Maynooth college and at lunch went to Starbucks on the campus, that was funny, watching the students faces at the line of students waiting to get something. 

Catching up again

This week was interesting!

We swam a mile on Wednesday, well I swam a mile, you can do it in teams and which I started with, but after 16 laps, I wasn't tired so I kept going!

It was tiring tiring later on in the day but it was good!

I finished doing my painting in Art and I think it looks good so ! 

Today in maths was fun! We only had 11 people in the class and it was fun, the rest of our class was doing hip hop!

Two Week Catch UP again -.-

20th to the 1st of May 

Well, on Friday, I helped with Home Ec practicals which was interesting, it was weird going back and seeing what I did last year and how I never noticed the House Wife during the exam.

This week and last wasn't too eventful except that it was my last day of Work Experience! I still can't believe how quick the year has gone by! 

I've been to three different places and they were all amazing experiences for me! I've grown up a little and understand how different businesses work! I am going to miss it though...

It was great working with different people and learning new skills and working with children and adults.

I don't think I would have matured as much as I have if I went straight into 5th year which I am thankful for.

Especially the trips which were amazing! 

Easter is over :(

Easter is over...I miss it already...

Anyway! We came back and on Tuesday we went driving, now that was scary, we got in cars in groups of three and an instructor and we drove for like an hour each. 

We had to do hill starts and learn how to control the car, reversing and changing gears. Lucky we didn't crash, we didn't have to break that much. One thing I learned is do not press the brakes down quickly, Michaela taught us that...it hurts when the car just stops and you jolt a little, it wasn't scary at all.

We also did a driving test, they didn't take a record of that though so it's fine...we also put on drunk goggles and had to pick up a cone and put it on another cone, that was funny, especially when people can't find the cone. It really does mess up your vision and we were all like how do people drive like this.

We also have had hip hop which is fun, on a Thursday and it's going good.

Not much happened over Easter, I procrastinated a lot but oh well, I'll be fine...I hope 

The 23th to the 27th of March

Music night!

This week was eventful, our music group was performing , we were doing a mash up of Chocolate and Disconnected and its was great! Well I think it went well....

I also helped to set up the hall, with moving mats and putting up posters, off music notes and instruments, we made sure that the whole hall looked good.

It was a little nerve wrecking before we went on but it was great.

We also have Easter break now, today's is our last day for 2 weeks so I'm happy.

Also in music we've been learning songs from Musicals this week, we focused on West Side Story and sang 'I feel Pretty'

16-20 March

This week, well not really a week, we were only in school for two days, we were off Monday and Tuesday, then had work experience on Wednesday.

Thursday was okay as usual... in Tech, I tried to come up with a new design for my project and I ended up going with a teenage mutant ninja turtle, which I'm giving to my brother, it looks like just one of their heads with the mask.

Today we've been singing in music and had to put in our own instruments. 

As well, I've been struggling to get the tasks done as some of them don't work.

3 Week Catch up!

Well it's been along time since I've posted.

Only because we've had busy weeks, we went into Town to raise money for Oesophageal Cancer, also known as Lollipop Day...we got t shirts, hats and a bucket full of  lollys and had to raise money, we went either to Grafton Street or Georgia Street, we went in pairs...it was a great day, we chose when we wanted lunch but we spent about ten minutes trying to find Mc Donalds, only to find we walked past it ... ;) That was the 27 of February.

Then last Friday was Sci fest, it was stressful but all in all it turned out great, the judges were all very nice and it was hard work, doing the project...but it was great...it was very nerve wrecking waiting for the judge.
Along with that this week (9th to the 13th of March) we went to a hockey final to support our school sadly we lost but it was a great day!
Then on Tuesday we went to Liffey Valley and saw "Selma" in the cinema as a History trip to inform us more about what happened there, it was very informative and sad but it gave me a real insight to what it was like for blacks at that time.
Today is Lá Glas, I'm not really dressed up but I am in my Kildare jersey! We were told we could wear them so I was happy with that!

9th of Feb to 13th!

This week was a busy week.

We had our mini company presentation on Thursday and let me tell you it was nerve wrecking, we had to set up our stall and make sure our project book was finished.

When we had to talk to the judges about our product for a total of three minutes was probably the weirdest part, it was interesting and a little bit awkward since we couldn't really know what they would ask us but it was good! 

Today was great! We made and ate pancakes! It was to raise money for the National Children's Hospital and I think it went down very well!

February 2nd to 7th

Not a lot happened this week but it was still weird.

Our last zumba class was on Monday and it was a good class. Dancing awesomely. Just like that actually.

Wednesday was Work experience, that was fun! I worked with the children in the Montessori! I thought them new songs and about the sun and the moon at the stars. 

One of my blogger challenges is to but a video on my blog, firstly I have no idea what I'm doing but I hope it works!

Performances!

Well this week along with Zumba classes which was fun to do, dancing crazyily.

Then we had our play in Mullingar... it was nerve wrecking. Weirdly enough when we got there, we went on the stage had a look around then we went down stairs where we got everyone ready and dressed

We were the first group to go on the stage and perform... it was weird having to go first and we had a small team huddle and did a pep talk and then we went on.

The whole play was great, no hiccups except when the music was a tiny bit delayed but it went well, well I think it went great. 

Long time no blog

Well it's been along time since I blogged.

I've had a lot of things to do over the space of probably two months.

We've had a lot to do with our English play, preparing  it and having a trail run today with costumes and everything. It's been stressful actually.

It's been busy...going to the RDS, looking at all the projects. It was a great day.

Before our holidays for Christmas, we went to see Elf which was amazing. The show was amazing and so we're the actors.

It's been way too busy, having projects due and some minor tests, it's just been stressful but I'm enjoying it!

Fashion Show!

This week was very eventful....

Our fashion show started on Tuesday in Celbridge Manor Hotel and along with selling our jewellery to everyone....we also modeled them...on the runway.

It was a little stressful trying to get the walk right and when we got on and what to do but it worked out well....I think

The fashion show was amazing, well the parts we got to see. I loved the wedding outfits! The ballet and glee club was awesome...I loved seeing the debs dresses.

On Wednesday which was our last night, I didn't get home until around 11:30 and still am tired today but it was a great week anyway

Book Talk! :P and Artsy Day!

This week we went to  Carton House and had a talk.

We went to Carton House on Tuesday and looked at the Vanishing Art exhibition.
I enjoyed the day and looked at a lot of interesting pieces.



I loved the pieces that we saw and had a great day all in all.

We had a talk on Thursday about The Millenium Development Goals and that we could create a book that would tell people about Goal 6, which is about HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and we get to ask around about famous people and ask them if they would like to contibute.

Two week catch up!-Again...

Not much happened when we got back from mid term.

First week

We got back most of our projects, tests and got given new projects for different subjects.
I spent most of my time, at home, being sick though :(

Second week

This week we had a road safety talk.
It was really interesting and informative, we saw how by lessening the speed by 10km/h can save someone's live.
It was really informative as we learned all about being safe on the road and walking on the path or the side of the road.

Seventh Week

This week not much has happened but we've gotten a lot of projects, and we've started with or teddy bear in Home Ec.

We've gotten a lot of projects to do, it's weird having so many projects to do and remebering the dates for each one. 

In Home Ec, we've started making our teddy bears and and in Art we've been finishing our work and next week we'll be doing oil pastels! I'm a little worried since I've never done art before, so I might do terrible! :P

One of our many projects is Geography. Probaly my favourite subject and we're doing a project on each of the EU countries, we went up and pick our countries blindfolded, well the pages we're upside down but! Anyway I was sitting there thinking, I don't think I'll get a great country, not in a bad way just as in I probaly wouldn't know where it was in the Europe! But I ended up getting the United Kingdom!

In our Mini Company group , we've come up our name ( I just combined our names) and came up with 'SEEM', it's a play on words really :) and Emily made our logo which is amazing!

Two Week Catch Up!

Fifth Week

Nothing much happened in this week except my boss for Work Experience wasn't there. 

I didn't really mind as I did filing which I liked, and I missed our Fun Walk...:( 

I was sick so I got updates about it. Sadly our class didn't win but apparently we did okay. 

Sixth Week

This week I went to school as normal and my boss was there for Work Experience.

He thought me how they use their websites, and I helped to create the winter one. 

Today, Friday the 10th, we have a non-uniform day, for "Walk in my Shoes"- it's for Mental Health awareness.The charity provides mental health services to vulnerable young adults who otherwise could not afford them. 

Everyone in our school pays 2 euro and we get to wear what we want and wear funky shoes!
